The host locator lets you find users that are online waiting for a connection in Fire Walker. This is useful if the other user dials into the internet with a modem and is assigned a dynamic IP Address or when you dont know the users IP Address. Also note that the locator service may not work if your are behind a proxy server or firewall.
To enable this service tick "register when waiting for connection". If you would like to tailor the service read on.
The Host locator service uses a virtual domain name and username which are registered on the internet at www.nexusconcepts.com. Computers waiting for connections on the particular domain name you have specified will be visible. It is important that you choose a unique domain name and use it on all computers you want to connect to.
