Preferences
- Image Format - The default of "auto detect" will check the file size of a resulting gif, png or jpeg file and choose the smallest one. If you require optimum image quality you may want to choose jpeg for photos or png full color for screenshots containing all shading.
- Dither Images - If a Gif image type is chosen or autoselected then the image will be dithered to improve the quality. This option increases file sizes but will make images with color gradients appear smoother.
- Resize if - This option will smoothly resize the image if it is larger than a certain width in pixels. This is especially useful if you are trying to fit screenshots to a particular format for a web site.
- Snapshot key - This is the key on the keyboard that you must press to capture a screen. You can also capture a screen by pressing the PrintScreen key.
- On snapshot save name - This option can either be by window title or random number. The window title option will try to capture a filename based on the name of the window you are trying to capture.
- Display snapshot editor - Whether the image will preview as soon as you capture an image
- Display notification - Whether a notification will appear in the system tray when an image is captured. Note that you will alway get the icon changing when a capture occurs.
