Fire Walker TCP/IP ports

Home Contents

Under certain circumstances you may want to change the TCP/IP port number that is used by Fire Walker. The usual circumstance is when a computer is behind a firewall and only certain ports are not blocked by the firewall. If you have access to the firewall or router that is blocking ports you can also grant access for different PCs behind the firewall. For example you may have 3 computers behind a firewall. You could route port 4021 to computer 1, port 4022 to computer 2 and port 4023 to computer 3. Then when you want to access any of the three computers behind the firewall you simply specify the port number when connecting to a PC.

Default Port

By default Fire Walker uses TCP/IP Port 4021 when waiting for or connection to a PC
